How Quickly Does the Ford F-150 Lightning Charge Its Batteries?
In an ideal world, every Lightning owner would have access to 240-volt charging at their house or their place of employment, where they can plug in and take care of the majority of their charging needs while they are sleeping or working.
But, if you do not have easy access to one of these Level 2 charging stations, or if you discover that you need to refuel while you are on a lengthy road trip, you may find that you need to depend on DC fast-charging stations, which are also referred to as Level 3 stations. That’s really decent, but it’s not amazing. The Ford electric truck has a maximum rated charging power of just 150 kW, which means that it cannot take in electrons as rapidly as its primary competitors, the Rivian R1T and the GMC Hummer EV electric vehicles.
EV geeks should take notice, however, that the Lightning suddenly surpassed its declared maximum charging power of 150 kW when it peaked at 160 kW for a few minutes at the beginning of the test. This occurred while it was charging at a rate of 160 kW. The household style power outlets are best for the tow technology package.
